Thanksgiving and Black Friday/Thursday/Saturday
Kristy came into town this year and Scott was also able to make it. Right off the bat we had to run to CVS before they closed sinec they decided to do their sale the of instead of Friday, we got whatever was left and was very please with it. The next morning (Thursday) we had to get up early for Meijers, then CVS again, and last Walgreens. We got home about 10 and the cooking started, we had to do an early dinner this year since all the sales started so early this year. The turkey turned out beautiful this year. At about 6:30 we left for Walmart for their 8 sale which really started at 7:55. We were bing bam boom out of there and off to Target we went. We only had to stand in line for about 30 minutes and then again bing bam boom it was over with, it took us longer to load the car then it did to shop. Next stop Toys R Us, this was probably the longest stop of the night from the line to get in to the line to pay. We went home to pick up Terri, who was waiting to order a laptop from Dell online (which really started at 11pm not 12 so that was a bust). Kohls was pretty busy but I would say successful for me, not so much anyone else. HOME, SLEEP, and then back up again (Friday ) for Meijer again and this time it was a lot harder but I'm glad we did because afterward I took Kristy back to Kohls and this time she was successful in finding a dress for her Christmas party. She's going to look fabulous. We got home and I got to sneak off to Target, Lowes, and Sears. CHILLED and then up again (Saturday) for Meijer one last time and Old Navy, and then work. I would say overall I got 95% of my Christmas shopping done this weekend, now for paying off all the bills.

Evalinh's 4th Birthday party
Evalinh's birthday party this year was at Chuck E. Cheese. She got to invite her best friend Nihaal and they had a blast. She originally wanted to do it at SkyZone but they weren't open on Mondays. She got a birthday cake from Dairy Queens, it was green with Tinkerbell on it.

Halloween 2012
This year Katelinh decided to be Claudine from Monster High she got a purple wig that lighted up. Evalinh was Iron Girl because Nihaal was Iron Man. They both had partys at their schools and Katelinh had a parade. Trick or treat night was very cold the girls were only out about 45 minutes and spent the rest of time helping me pass out candy.

Our first refurbish
So it all started with a visit to Michigan to see Kristy's new house. She had the old owners leave their old furniture and she would get rid of what she didn't want. At first I didn't think that that was the best thing to do but boy was I wrong. I got there and there was a huge pile of stuff she wanted to yard sale and the first thing I saw were these old gold painted frames and the rest was history I was in temporary heaven. I got a bunch of other goodies a lot of things I was planning to tweak a bit for our house. There were also three out of shape pieces of old worn out small table dressers in the basement once used to store tools. I recently discovered my new interest in refurbishing stuff on pinterest do I thought that this was the perfect opportunity, it would be free and little enough for me to maneuver. So we packed it in the pilot and back to Ohio we went. I didn't tell Jason about it and wasn't planning to until it was done. I got my inspiration from this pin and my goal was to copy it exactly since it had such detailed instructions. I first sanded it down, follow by prime . Next was suppose to be the Sherwin Williams paint until I got slapped in the face with the price for a quart. $20 never did I ever think it would cost that much, I had to just deal with it and walk out of the store with no paint which turned out to be meant to because Katelinh and I ended finding the perfect color at Lowes got half the price. It's called slate green but it's definitely more of a gray. With that all picked out the painting was on. Next was the top which I was going to stain like the pin I was using for my inspiration. The only problem was the original top was in terrible condition so wanted to replace it. That's when I finally gave in and started asking for help from jason. Long story short we needed a router to get the job done that somehow led to a new drawer front and new front leg cover . So now our piece is made of cedar bones, pine top, oak body, and birch legs.
