Evalinh's 4th Birthday

Today started off with Evalinh coming over in the middle of night to make it a squishy sleep but she promised that it was her last time since today she was 4. Then she got her balloon surprise along with daddy's special yogurt. Donuts for breakfast and a quick visit from mema and gongon. She only went to daycare today to share her birthday cupcakes which were topped with repunzel, iron man, car, Kung fu panda. She got her requested birthday dinner of chicken corn chowder, fish sticks, and potato dumplings. Daddy got home real late but when he got home she got to open some more presents and cut her birthday cake. It was a pretty successful birthday.

Katelinh going into 1st grade

Her teachers name this year is Mrs. Stachler in room 124. She's no longer going to daycare but she does ride the bus to and from school everyday. She wanted a Barbie book bag but there was none to be found so we ended up with hello kitty.

Shawn and Alex's House Warming Party and Osama Bin Laden has been killed!!!

So Shawn and Alex had their house warming party today.  Originally we were going to get them a fryer but we thought someone else would've got them that so guess what the next step up was?  A maytag electric stove.  It was on clearance for 539.10 and then we got 10 percent off for a special going on and then we got another 10 percent off from a coupon and I have 18 months to pay it off.  I don't think we could've got a better deal and we gave them the toilet paper that I promised.  We gave them a clue, the special cleaning stuff but they had no clue.  They'll find out tomorrow morning.  It's beautiful! if I should say so myself.

We got home and put the kids to sleep and guess what we found out from the TV?  Osama bin Laden has been killed and the US has his body in custody.  Almost 10 years after 9/11 this is a very symbolic moment but there is still a lot of evil and violence left in this world.  Still waiting for the president to announce it.

Easter 2011

We colored eggs on Saturday.

Terri cooked Easter dinner this year.  She made cole slaw, ham , baked potatoes, salad, and green bean casseroles.  The girls woke up to a trail of eggs.  Katelinh was in her own room while Evalinh had slept in the guest bedroom with Jason all night.  Evalinh found her basket first, in her playhouse under a blanket.  Katelinh was a bit upset thinking she didn't get one this year until she found hers under her pink guitar on top of box with a blanket on top as well.  Evalinh's basket had a new bunny pillow pet, an Elmo DS game, a coloring book, markers, and crayons.  Katelinh's had a princess Yatzee game, a pair of brown shoes, 2 DVDs (Tangle and Sharpay's Fabulous Adventures ), and a Dora DS game.

I got a new haircut, it's really short, almost like Victoria Beckham's bob and auburn highlights.  I really like it and Jason loves it.  It makes me look older and more sophisticated.  Mom and Dad doesn't like it so much.

I baked all day and made little chow mein noodle nest with the girls, but Jason surprised me with a full tray of Tiramasu for desert.  It was so yummy there's only three slices left.

Katelinh's Kindergarten

Yesterday Katelinh went to her Kindergarten screening.  She did really good.  She knew all the upper case letters and only mixed up d and b of the lower case letters.  She counted to 20 and knew all her shapes.  She is really excited about going to a big kid school and we couldn't be more proud.  We celebrated by going to Red Robins.  We were also rewarding Joey for his good work at school.
