'We fell down on the job'

Last night President Barack Obama gave his State of the Union Address.  Here it is:

"...Now it's our turn. We know what it takes to compete for the jobs and industries of our time. We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world. We have to make America the best place on Earth to do business. We need to take responsibility for our deficit, and reform our government. That's how our people will prosper. That's how we'll win the future..."

Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas were not present. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar served as the designated survivor, and did not attend the speech.
In light of the 2011 Tucson shooting of Representative Gabrielle Giffords and others, Senator Mark Udall of Colorado proposed that members of both houses sit together regardless of party, breaking with tradition. Sixty members of the House and Senate signaled their support for the plan,[and members of both houses sat with members of the opposite party.

...Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

It snowed like 5-6 inches today and the boys are out plowing.  It was beautiful today but its so hard to get on a bus at OSU.  I caught one after class today but one stop before mine a car had to go crash into another one and the bus driver made us get off and I had to wait for another bus to come.  And the traffic was horrible, it took me three hours to pick up the kids and get home.

Its 3:00 AM and I just got a phone call and it was Jason telling me that he had bumped into a car at one of the parking lots and crack their rear bumper.  The only hesitation of leaving a note is the owner might get greedy but we need to believe in people's understanding and compassion.  Besides Karma's a Bitch.  I hope this doesn't have anything to do with my complaining about the bus from earlier or the video, it was meant more for memory purposes not necessarily a complaint or making fun of.

These are the before pics:

It's definitely a diamond in the rougn but the foundation is great as far as we can tell and just needs a little TLC which is totally doable.

Unnecessary Violence

Yesterday there was a shooting in Arizona killing 6 people and causing 13 casualties.  Congress woman Gabrielle Gifford is still in critical condition from a bullet wound through the head and brain.  A federal judge was killed and a 9 year old little girl died for no reason.  No reason is ever acceptable for these acts of violence.  Who is ever to think that harming others to accomplish anything is a reason.  That little girl had a future and parents that will never be able to move on from this moment.  Nobody had the right to do this and no amount of punishment will make up for the death of these precious lives.  Any one of us could've been standing there and it could've been us or our love ones at any moment in time that this tragedy could occurr.  It makes you want to never leave your home but we will not let someone like this troubled person imprison us for the little bit of time we have with the ones we love on this earth and I only wish on him the pain he has caused to these innocent people and their families.  I know that nothing we can do will be equal to what he has done but he will in the next stage of life face his true judgement.

Coldstone, McDonalds, and an Almost Broken Nose

First we went to Cold Stone

Best Coldstone Order

Like It Strawberry Shortcake Serenade

What's in it?:
Sweet Cream Ice Cream
Strawberries
Cake
Whip Cream folded in not on top

Then we went to McDonalds for their 4 Cheeseburgers and 4 small fries for 4.99.

Then Katelinh fell face first on our kitchen floor pretending to be unicorn and daddy the lion. All is well now but the nose is black and blue.
